Our Story in Warrensburg

How it all started...

The Methodist faith has been present since the formation of the City of Warrensburg. It was the first church to be established in Johnson County.  The original church building at 141 East Gay Street has been a part of the community for over a century. The church  has continued to remain focused on being a community focused congregation that desires for all to know the love of Jesus . "Living so that all may know Jesus."

Expanding the vision...

We value every opportunity to share the love of Jesus with others. In addition to church sponsored events, UMCburg hosts several community groups: AA, Al-Anon, Overeaters Anonymous, Boy Scout Troop 500, Cub Scout Troup 499, Girl Scout Troop, the Inspired Quilters, among others.

Breakfast Club
