Missions in the burg
Every day we provide food in our Blessings box that is on the church property near the church vans on College Street. On Sunday, April 27th, we are beginning a new ministry called Breakfast Church from 8:30-9:00 am on Sunday mornings. At breakfast church, we will share communion together and then eat a meal together.
Missions in the US
Our church supports the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) through sending teams and financial gifts to help people in the United States who have been impacted by natural disasters or other emergency situations.
Jamaica Mission
Every year (typically in January) we send a medical mission team to provide need basic medical needs at a clinic in Jamaica. We also partner with the school and community to do other projects and build relationships with the community. Point of contact for Jamaica Missions is Steve Mills.
Disciple Gifts
At UMCburg, Disciple Gifts share our blessings with others in our community and world. Through our Disciple Gift giving, we support the following agencies in our community with financial resources: Refuge on Ming, Journey Home, The Food Center, Crop Walk, and MVCAA..
