UMCburg Young Adult

UMCburg Young Adult ministry, called The Rock, is for post-high school graduates.

The Rock is a residential facility located at 305 S. Holden Street, Warrensburg, MO, just off the United Central Missouri University campus.

The Rock meets every Thursday at 6:30 p.m. during the school year for dinner, worship, and fellowship.

The Rock is Warrensburg First United Methodist Church’s Christian Campus Housing.

A maximum of ten University of Central Missouri students may live in this community each semester. As dedicated Christians, residents are expected to foster an atmosphere of spiritual growth through encouragement, support, and accountability.

Eligibility to reside at The Rock:
  • - Applicant must be a student at UCM.
  • - Applicant must commit to active participation in events at The Rock.
  • - Applicant must commit to active participation in activities at UMCburg.
  • - Applicant must follow house rules.
  • - Applicant must be interviewed by the College-Age Ministry Team

As vacancies become available, applicants will be contacted and an interview with the Campus Ministry Team will be scheduled. Approved applicants will be given the Residential Agreement and Christian Covenant for review and signing. A security deposit will be due at the time of signing the agreement and covenant (not with the application.) This deposit will be refunded by mail if the resident leaves the room and its contents in a clean and acceptable manner when vacating the ROCK. If necessary, damage fees and Residential Agreement non-compliance fees will be deducted from the deposit before being refunded.
