FUMC Preschool
We at the First United Methodist Church Preschool believe that a high quality early childhood program provides a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children.
We stress the importance of building independence, trust, a joy in learning, and individual achievement. To attain these goals, we provide a Christian environment rich in sensory stimulation which encourages natural exploration, social interaction, problem solving, and language development.
We believe that it is our responsibility to provide a program that supports the optimal development of each child.
Typically, our day includes self-selection of learning centers, circle time, group activity, snack time, gross motor time, and daily closing.
Our classes are open to children age three (3) and age four (4) by August 1.
